On September 19, 2012 in Burgas, a initiating meeting was held and it was followed by a series of successful workshops in Varna, Kardzhali, Blagoevgrad, Sofia, Vratsa, Rousse, Veliko Tarnovo, and Karlovo, bringing together over 200 experts. The objectives of the meetings, which will be attended by representatives of the local authorities, the departments of the central administration, the business, NGOs and others, is to help expert team in the development of the strategy and to conduct a wide public discussion.
The project also provides for the conduction of 4 consultative meetings whose objective is to provide up-to date information which will support the future development of action-plans for the NICS. Two of these meetings have already taken place in Sofia with the participation of the central administration.
