A contract was signed for providing services for development and national aligning of a management approach for the Natura 2000 network and the national prioritized action framework for Natura 2000

On 20.09.2016 a contract was signed between the Ministry of Environment and Water and Consortium “Dicon – UBA Natura” for the provision of services for development and national aligning of a management approach for the Natura 2000 network and the National Prioritized Action Framework for Natura 2000 (NPAF).

Consortium “Dicon – UBA Natura” includes Bulgarian company “Dicon Group” LTD and the Austrian Environment Agency.

The project will be performed with the participation of a team of established Bulgarian and international experts.

The main objective of the project is to create conditions for a coordinated, effective and lawful management of the Natura 2000 network in Bulgaria through building and developing management models for Natura 2000 and protected areas, as well as for the NPAF.

Specific objectives:

• Specific objective 1: Development and aligning of a national approach for Natura 2000 network management;
• Specific objective 2: Development and aligning of a management approach for the Natura 2000 National Prioritized Action Framework.

The duration of the contract is 12 months.
