On 17 and 18 March 2015 in Brussels, the 29th working meeting of the ECOSTAT WG took place. During the meeting, the team of experts from Consortium Dicon – UBA presented the Technical reports for BQE Macroalgae and BQE Macrozoobenthos in GIG Black Sea. The ECOSTAT Group made a positive decision on the successful completion of the intercalibration of BQE Macroalgae and BQE Macrozoobenthos in the common intercalibration type Black Sea coastal waters and included the results in the next EC Intercalibration Decision in 2016. In this way Bulgaria became the first EU member state to have fully completed the intercalibration of coastal waters.
